Eastside Medical Center has expanded services to meet the growing needs for high quality and convenient emergency care close to home with the opening of a newly renovated full-service Emergency Department at our South Campus location at 2160 Fountain Drive in Snellville. The South Campus Emergency Department is now officially open to see patients.
The new addition to Eastside’s South Campus hospital includes the renovation of 7,800 square feet of existing space. The South Campus Emergency Department will complement Eastside’s existing 45 bed full-service ED at the hospital’s Main Campus location at 1700 Medical Way in Snellville. The South Campus Emergency Department is a $2.8 million investment to expand emergency services to the surrounding communities of Snellville, Loganville, Grayson, and Stone Mountain.
Eastside Medical Center celebrated the new ER with a ribbon cutting ceremony and community open house on Thursday, June 22nd. In attendance were hospital leaders, local community leaders, Gwinnett Chamber representatives, and local residents that were invited to get a sneak peak of the new ED prior to officially opening.
“Eastside Medical Center is extremely excited to be offering this new access point for emergency care in Gwinnett County,” said Eastside Medical Center’s Chief Executive Officer Trent Lind, “During an emergency, it is important to have access to the healthcare services you need quickly. With the growing concern of traffic in the nearby area, this additional access point was much needed to provide our community with an additional location for emergency care. Eastside looks forward to continuing to serve our community and remains committed to improving the care and quality of life for Gwinnett County and the surrounding area.”
We are proud to now be offering this additional service to Gwinnett County and the surrounding communities.
