Eastside Medical Center will host a free Heart Health Education Day from 8:00am - 12:00pm on Saturday, May 14, on the main campus located at 1700 Medical Way.
“Heart disease is the number one killer for men and women in Georgia,” said Markus Sims, MD, cardiologist at Eastside Medical Center. “Raising awareness about risk, prevention and symptoms of heart disease can help change this statistic so we are hosting a free Heart Health Education Day for our neighbors in Snellville and surrounding communities.”
Eastside heart health specialists will provide information on detecting early ;heart attack warning signs, unique heart attack warning signs specific to women, ;hands-only CPR education and more.
“Heart health is important for people of all ages in our community and we are committed to help raise awareness about prevention and early detection of heart disease,” said Trent Lind, CEO of Eastside Medical Center. “Events like our Heart Health Education Day provide potentially life-saving education and resources that can support a healthier Snellville and Georgia for generations to come.”
The event will be held in classrooms one and two. Free parking is available near the South Entrance.
